Following the recent economic recession and the global restriction linked to COVID-19, a lot of businesses were shut down. People lost their means of livelihood, and so many experienced and are still experiencing financial difficulties which have pitched them into near-poverty.

In addition, floods, volcanic eruptions, and other natural disasters have contributed to the severe sufferings and devastation experienced by thousands of families; with many becoming displaced, hungry, sick, and without access to required medical attention.

In the face of these dire situations, we, as members of the Volunteer Medical Corps, are called to act; to spread love, joy, hope, and to be an answer to the cry of many around the world.

Hebrews 13:16 (KJV): “And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”

One way to demonstrate our love for the Lord Jesus Christ is to be caring and compassionate towards those in need within our sphere of contact.
