Members of the VMC in Kolwezi, Democratic Republic of Congo, in response to a heightened need for #safeblood in their community carried out a voluntary blood donation drive in partnership with the Trauma Care International Foundation, during which they mobilised #volunteers to donate blood which would be used save many lives. They also used the opportunity to advocate via various media channels for more people to get involved in voluntary blood donation.
