The Volunteer Medical Corps (VMC) recently embarked on a deeply impactful mission trip to Suceava, Romania. The destination was the Fight for Freedom Orphanage, located in Veresti, a quiet town near Romania’s border with Ukraine. This orphanage is home to 24 Ukrainian children who have been displaced by war. Most of these precious lives are living with various disabilities, and the orphanage serves as both a refuge and a home of hope in a time of crisis.
Moved by compassion and purpose, our VMC super volunteers journeyed with supplies intended to meet both the physical and emotional needs of the children and their caregivers. The team brought relief materials, including snacks, toys, and hygiene products, thoughtfully packaged to bring smiles and comfort. More importantly, they delivered copies of the Healing to the Nations magazine in both Romanian and Ukrainian languages—filled with life-giving messages of healing, salvation, and hope.
The atmosphere at the orphanage was transformed as our team ministered to the children and staff. Through music, laughter, prayer, and the Word of God, joy broke through pain, and hope began to take root in the hearts of those who had endured so much. The children responded with open hearts—some smiling for the first time in days. The caregivers, overwhelmed with gratitude, found renewed strength through the encouraging presence and words of our team.
Beyond physical support, VMC brought the tangible love of Christ into an environment that desperately needed it. In every word spoken and every hand extended, they carried with them the message that no one is forgotten, and healing is possible—body, soul, and spirit.
