Access to healthcare is a right every citizen of a country should enjoy. People should
get the medical care they need when they need it. Sadly, this has not been the case for
a lot of people who either don’t have a health facility close to them or the means to get
the medical care they need.
In many cities and regions, especially in the rural area, there is a total absence of or
poorly equipped diagnostic centers. There are no doctors to assess, prescribe
treatment/medicine, or monitor patients’ conditions and some of these conditions
develop to extreme cases and sometimes death.
In the Volunteer Medical Corps, we are committed to health solutions and saving lives
every day. Our team of volunteers in Osogbo took medical care to the people living in
Salako and environs in the City of Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria. Trained medical
personnel were available to provide free diagnosis, vitals check, administer drugs, etc.
