Eating is important, but more importantly, is if we are eating a healthy diet. A balanced diet contains various kinds of foods in certain quantities and proportions so that the requirement for calories, proteins, minerals, vitamins, and alternative nutrients is sufficient. A healthy diet is good for our mental and physical health, it also helps decrease the risk of heart disease, diabetes, obesity, etc.

Sometimes, we eat different foods because we enjoy the taste and experience, but other than taste and pleasure, we also need to eat healthy to get nutrients, vitamins, energy, etc. By having an idea of the balance in your diet, it should be easier to enjoy food and be healthy.

Eating a healthy diet gives you nutrients, reduces the risk of nutrient deficiencies, helps you manage your weight, and strengthens your immune system. So, consciously ensure your meals contain vitamins, carbs, proteins, fat, fiber, minerals, and water as these are essential factors of a balanced diet.

1 Corinthians 10:31 says “...so whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” Your body is a gift to you from God, and taking care of it must be priority in your everyday lifestyle.
