Palapye is situated between Francistown and Gaborone, Botswana. It is gradually becoming a large city. Housed in Palapye is Mokgalo Junior Secondary School which runs a welfare care scheme for girls who have had difficulties growing up. Our VMC team brought in experts who educated the girls on proper menstrual hygiene care and the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Over 34 girls benefitted from this program, the girls also received several sanitary and personal hygiene supplies.
